One Book
many neighbors

a collaboration of Leavenworth County+ libraries

Welcome to the 2025 One Book, Many Neighbors program series!

One Book, Many Neighbors is an annual series of programs hosted by libraries in and around Leavenworth County. Each year, a title is selected, and participating libraries host programs inspired by the book or related topics.

This year's selection is
Woman on Fire by Lisa Barr!
The novel is about a tenacious young journalist, Jules Roth, who is tasked with locating a Nazi-looted masterpiece, "Woman on Fire," for a dying shoe designer. Her investigation intertwines with the ruthless pursuits of a wealthy art gallerist who also seeks the painting, leading to a dangerous confrontation filled with secrets, passion, and the dark legacy of war.

Happy reading, and we hope to see you at your neighboring libraries for the events below!
